The Atlanta Branch holds their 50th Anniversary Book fair September 23 – 27 at the Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, GA. In 1997 the book fair became a cooperative effort of the three branches in metro Atlanta: Atlanta Branch, Cobb County Branch, and North Fulton Branch
All books sold at the fair are donated and all sorting, pricing and sales are accomplished by member volunteers. The funds are used for Local Scholarships, Community Projects and AAUW Philanthropy ( LAF, Eleanor Roosevelt, etc.)
The sale starts with a special preview night September 22, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The fee is $5 for the preview. Regular sale dates are Wednesday, September 23 through Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with e Sunday, Spetember 27 hours from Noon to 7 p.m.
